Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Sanitation

• Dishwashing: Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment to meet company and Department of Health standards.
• Dish Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and the entire kitchen.
• Chemical and Equipment Use: Operate dishwashing machines properly and safely, with a strong understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
• Garbage and Linens: Properly store and dispose of garbage and handle soiled linens efficiently.

Operational Support

• Venue Cleaning: Assist in maintaining cleanliness both inside and outside the restaurant.
• Opening and Closing Duties: Set up the dish room and complete all opening and closing procedures as directed by management.
• Communication: Notify chefs and support staff of any product or equipment needs promptly.
• Team Contribution: Actively support co-workers and contribute to a positive, professional kitchen environment.

Health, Safety, and Compliance

• Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, including Department of Health and OSHA standards.
• Company Standards: Follow all policies and procedures outlined in the company handbook and maintain compliance with training requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Role may involve repetitive motions and exposure to hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.

Skills/Experience:

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred.
• Current Food Handler Certification required.
• Positive attitude and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
