A Press Operator is responsible for maintaining print units and packaging equipment to ensure smooth operations while meeting clients’ needs with the highest quality standards. Their primary duties include troubleshooting machines for malfunctions, repairing machine parts as needed to ensure proper operation, and conducting quality checks. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Salary Range: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour
Eligible for a 10% performance bonus opportunity paid quarterly

- Shanklin shrink wrapper and bander
What you’ll do:
- Our paper converting process is roll-to-cut sheet, finished, packaged product all in one line. You will be responsible for hanging the rolls, ensuring the print quality, and using the chipboard inserter and Sollas over the wrapper. Your production line associate will box, lid, and skid the finished pallet.
- Set up and operate multi-color, offset printing presses to reproduce a variety of documents, including security documents, letterheads, forms, and other custom-made-to-order print jobs.
- Operate single-sheet or web-fed presses.
- Apply chemicals, ink, and cleaning solvents to the press for proper operation.
- Make sensitive adjustments to plates, rollers, ink fountains, and paper to produce quality products.
- Monitor equipment and job run during the process for quality and consistency of finished pieces.
- Clean, oil, adjust, repair, and service equipment.
- Perform a variety of assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of techniques, materials, and equipment.

Your Background:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, light industrial environment is preferred
- Lifting requirement of 50 pounds
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
- Knowledge of press maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Team player, self-motivated, flexible, hands-on, detail-oriented, and quality-oriented
- Prompt and reliable
- Offset printing experience is a plus
