Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant / Licensed Athletic Trainer, you'll play a key role in supporting physical therapists and providing high-quality patient care while engaging in sports medicine initiatives within the Mercer County community.

  • Assist in delivering personalized treatment plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
  • Provide hands-on therapy to improve mobility, function, and quality of life.
  • Deliver athletic training services to local high school and collegiate athletic teams and community sports programs.
  • Assist in developing and implementing injury prevention programs and rehabilitation protocols.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and home programs to maximize outcomes.
  • Participate in community engagement events and build strong relationships with local organizations.
  • Work closely with the clinical team to ensure the best patient experience and results.

Requirements:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and/or Athletic Trainer (ATC) program.
  • License/Certification:
  • Active or eligible state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in West Virginia.
  • Licensed Athletic Trainer (ATC) in the State of West Virginia.
  • Current certification by the Board of Certification for Athletic Training (BOC-ATC).
  • Experience: New grads are welcome! Outpatient and sports medicine experience is a plus, but passion and dedication to patient care matter most.
  • Ability to work independently and comfortably in both clinical and community settings.
