Strategic Ventures is currently recruiting an Energy Directives and Policy Specialist to join our team at Quantico, VA.


Responsibilities:

  • Support Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Expeditionary Energy Office (E2O) with the creation, change, revision, and cancellation of primary directives
  • Conduct analysis of Marine Corps validated mandatory energy requirements in Marine Corps acquisition programs and develop energy efficiency metrics in system design to the extent practicable
  • Identify energy enterprise-wide gaps, risk areas and solutions, to assist with Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) processes and documentation
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other Service Components, Department of Defense (DoD) agencies, and federal organizations, to synchronize Marine Corps energy policies and initiatives
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on energy policy outcomes, trends, and challenges for senior leadership and act as a subject matter expert during briefings, working groups, and strategy sessions
  • Conduct research to inform policy recommendations, incorporating lessons learned, emerging technologies, and best practices in energy management and capabilities development
  • Evaluate the impact of proposed policies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance 
  • 10+ years of relevant military experience or government service in energy, sustainment, or military operations
  • Knowledge of JCIDS documentation and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Experience in policy writing, analysis and development
  • Ability to conduct data collection, aggregation, and analytics to develop business decision tools, optimize decisions, improve management, and inform future investment of Marine Corps assets and programs
  • Proficiency in interpreting federal and DoD regulations and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
