Description

As a GSE Consents Analyst, the candidate will manage documentation for multifamily loans associated with government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs) such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Key responsibilities include overseeing documentation requests and checklists, ensuring all materials are complete and accurate before processing. The analyst will perform preliminary data entry, analyze documentation for compliance, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary information. Additionally, the role involves reviewing submissions for completeness to adhere to GSE requirements and monitoring documentation status and deadlines while providing timely updates. This position is essential for ensuring efficient documentation processes in compliance with GSE standards.

Additionally, tracking and reporting help identify trends and areas for improvement in documentation and systematic practices, further supporting departmental goals.

Requirements
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee multifamily loans from application to consent closeout.
  • Documentation Oversight: Manage all documentation requests and checklists, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain contact with customers, providing timely updates on file status to both clients and internal teams.
  • Data Entry and Analysis: Perform preliminary data entry and analyze documentation provided by customers.
  • Vendor Coordination: Manage communication with third-party vendors.
  • Collaboration: Work with the assigned Asset Manager to finalize Borrower Request submissions for internal and investor review.
  • Quality Assurance: Review submissions for compliance with GSE requirements.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Monitor documentation status and deadlines, providing updates to relevant parties.

Expected Experience, Skills and Education

  • Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or Economics, or 1+ years of real estate experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word; familiarity with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac multifamily platforms is a plus.
  • Market Knowledge: Understanding of real estate markets, particularly multifamily assets.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities; effective liaison with stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical Skills: Capable of assessing documentation and identifying potential issues; attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
