InCord has an opening for an R&D Process Engineer. The R&D Process Engineer will drive the Company’s growth through the research and development of new and existing processes and products. In addition, this individual will supervise the Technical Services Department and oversee all new product development processes for custom manufacturing projects.

Job Responsibilities:
- Creates new products and modifies existing products to enhance quality and product function.
- Leads new product development from initial conception to mass or small-scale production through defining, design, building, and testing such products.
- Maintains and assesses current processes to identify weaknesses and implement improvements.
- Leads customer specific projects regarding the research and design of products or materials that align with the needs of the customer’s request.
- Liaison to senior management regarding updates and progress on new product development, research and implementations.
- Collaborates with necessary team members and departments to ensure timely planning, execution and implementation of new products and processes.
- Resource to Sales Managers for assessing new customer requests or modifications of current products and designs.
- Provides communication of technical expertise directly to the customer upon the request of the Sales Manager.
- Responsible for internal and external product testing including control of the test environment, setup, safety plans, and execution.
- Occasional travel to customers, job sites, or events in relation to ongoing or special projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering; relevant to Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience leading product development projects.
- Experience in 2-D and 3-D modeling/drafting and SolidWorks is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of product design/development process, including product construction, materials and manufacturing methods.
- Experience with project management; ability to handle multiple projects effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to set and meet deadlines.
- Strong computer and technical skills, MS office proficiency required.
