Classification: 

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must hold and maintain a current California State license
  • Minimum of 2 years high end day spa or resort experience.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)

Provide quality nail care services to members and their guests. 


Job Tasks/Duties

  • Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
  • Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
  • Provide nail enhancement, example – acrylics, silks and/or gel builder
  • Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
  • Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training members and guests in these areas.
  • Actively promote home care programs that coincide with spa retail sales.
  • Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required.
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or members and guests in the spa that require attention.
  • Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
  • Handle members and guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
  • Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members and guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
  • Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
  • Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Requirements

  

Licenses and Special Requirements

  • Must have a State Nail Technician/Manicurist License.
  • Knowledge of Acrylics  and gel-nails. Pink and white acrylic is necessary.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Maintain cleanliness by using Sanitizer and/or Disinfectant products
  • Ability to tolerate direct contact with disinfectants, sanitizers, and various cleaning solutions and/or products
  • Close and distance vision
  • Identify and distinguish colors
  • Frequent walking with Continuous sitting or Standing
  • Ability to lift 5 lbs.
  • Occasionally lifts/carries up to 15 lbs.
  • Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly
  • Frequent bending and stooping. 
  • Frequent repetitive motions. 
  • Must be able to tolerate a variety of odors including massage oils and lotions.
