Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must hold and maintain a current California State license
- Minimum of 2 years high end day spa or resort experience.

Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Provide quality nail care services to members and their guests.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Be on time for your shift, prompt with each appointment and perform services within the appropriate time allotted for the service.
- Provide consistent professional nail, hand and foot treatments in accordance with spa protocols and accepted certification practices.
- Provide nail enhancement, example – acrylics, silks and/or gel builder
- Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa.
- Properly care for equipment and use proper amounts of product to assist with cost controls.
- Have complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating and training members and guests in these areas.
- Actively promote home care programs that coincide with spa retail sales.
- Uphold the standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by law and the spa’s policies and procedures.
- Perform prep work and properly clean and restock work area as required.
- Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or members and guests in the spa that require attention.
- Actively promote the spa, treatments, services, sessions and retail, as well as programs, promotions and/or discounts available.
- Handle members and guests’ questions and concerns professionally and courteously.
- Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members and guests ensuring complete guest satisfaction.
- Possess ability to work without direct supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment.
- Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings for the spa.
- Assist in all areas of spa operation as requested by management.
Requirements
Licenses and Special Requirements
- Must have a State Nail Technician/Manicurist License.
- Knowledge of Acrylics and gel-nails. Pink and white acrylic is necessary.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Maintain cleanliness by using Sanitizer and/or Disinfectant products
- Ability to tolerate direct contact with disinfectants, sanitizers, and various cleaning solutions and/or products
- Close and distance vision
- Identify and distinguish colors
- Frequent walking with Continuous sitting or Standing
- Ability to lift 5 lbs.
- Occasionally lifts/carries up to 15 lbs.
- Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Able to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel, stoop or crouch repeatedly
- Frequent bending and stooping.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Must be able to tolerate a variety of odors including massage oils and lotions.
