Description

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Communications Intern to support our team in executing communication strategies and initiatives. This role offers a hands-on experience crafting compelling messages, managing social media platforms and engaging with stakeholders to elevate our brand presence. 

  • Assist in creating and editing content for social media, press releases, and marketing materials.
  • Support the development and execution of communication campaigns.
  • Monitor polling place information and adding content to Google Maps to enhance accessibility for the public.
  • Review and evaluate story submissions, identifying high-quality content for social media channels.
  • Extract data from DRA Program Performance Reports and prepare the data for use in infographics and other visual materials. 
  • Update and maintain the legislative page on our website using WordPress.
  • Help coordinate outreach events, webinars, and public relations efforts.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as organizing files and reports.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) and tools like Google Maps, SharePoint, and WordPress.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative thinker and ability to adapt to fast-paced environments.
  • Basic knowledge of social media content curation and digital storytelling a plus.
