Description

At Care Network facilities, employees are expected to embrace a versatile role that often extends beyond traditional job descriptions. In addition to performing the primary duties as a L1MA, staff members may be asked to assist with various other tasks including caregiving, cooking, or housekeeping to ensure the well-being and comfort of our residents. This collaborative approach requires flexibility, a willingness to adapt, and a commitment to providing comprehensive support across different areas. Candidates should be prepared to contribute to multiple aspects of facility operations and assist wherever needed to create a positive and enriching environment for our residents.

  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  • Ensure that all medications are dispensed accurately, safely, and in a timely manner.
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects of medication and report to the licensed nurse as needed. 
  • Document medication administration and resident response in the electronic health record (EHR). 
  • Order and receive medications as directed by the licensed nurse. 
  • Assist with medication inventory management and reordering. 
  • Communicate with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals regarding medication administration and changes in medication regimens.
  • Other duties as assigned including but not limited to caregiving, cooking, or housekeeping.



Requirements
  • Level 1 Medication Aide (L1MA) certification is required in the state of practice. 
  • Insulin Administration Certification is required in the state of practice.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
