Description

Camp For All seeks an Institutional Giving Manager to join the team at our administrative offices located at 3701 Kirby Drive, Houston, Texas. This is a critical role, supporting our mission of transforming the world for children and adults with challenging illnesses, disabilities, or special needs by increasing giving from private foundations, corporations and civic organizations.


The person in this position will take ownership of day-to-day Camp For All institutional giving efforts by researching, writing, and adapting materials for proposals, reports, letters, and electronic solicitations; managing donor fulfillment and recognition plans; and supporting varied strategies to meet and exceed institutional giving goals. Goals include maintaining and increasing the number and diversity of 70+ institutional funders to Camp For All and growing the associated annual giving. In addition to managing external stakeholders, this role requires developing strong internal relationships, specifically with the Communications, Finance, Facilities and Program teams.

The adaptive activities at Camp include indoor and outdoor challenge courses and climbing walls, horses, gold panning, archery, arts and crafts, field sports, swimming, dancing, singing, photography, spa, cooking and much, much more. Camp For All is intentional in that the outcomes for every activity are about emotional healing and helping campers realize they are not defined by their challenge. Founded in 1993, Camp For All has since served more than 190,000 campers.

Requirements
  • With the Director of Development, develop and execute fundraising strategies for corporate, foundation and civic organizations, specifically by: Drafting and editing applications, proposals, presentations, reports, invitations, and other correspondence associated with cultivating institutional funders and securing grants and sponsorships from them;    Identifying and researching new prospects, developing prospect lists and research profiles, scheduling meetings with prospects, and preparing meeting briefings;    Managing the grant acknowledgement process, from cultivation through reporting and stewardship;    Engaging current and potential donors through meetings and site visits
  • With the Donor Relations Coordinator, maintain grant calendar and institutional funding database records in Bloomerang, the Camp For All donor database so that tasks are completed in a timely manner and to greatest strategic advantage
  • Organize and analyze Camp For All program and institutional data, including camper statistics and evaluations.
  • Maintain open channels of communication with Program team to stay current on activities at Camp For All Burton
  • Support capital campaign efforts, specifically focused on institutional donors and leaders of these organizations
  • Participating in cultivation and special events throughout the year, including, but not limited to the Greater Camp Area Gala, Houston Gala and Over The Edge
  • Engage corporate prospects and donors through volunteerism, in coordination with the Volunteer Supervisor
  • Maintain outward facing profiles on sites like Candid, Charity Navigator, GreatNonprofits, and more, in coordination with the Communications Manager
  • Work with Finance team to organize program budgets and financial reporting
  • Other duties as assigned


Education/Experience/Expectations

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2-3 years of nonprofit fundraising experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (applicants will be asked to complete a writing assignment)
  • Ability to work well with a diverse group of volunteers and staff
  • Hold a valid Texas driver’s license and have reliable transportation
  • Occasional evening and weekend commitments are an important and required component of this position.
Salary Description
$60,000 - $65,000
