Description
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:
- The warehouse management system: routing and cubing processes for shipping and receiving processes.
- The order selection process and regulations concerning food safety.
- Routing, scheduling, dispatching and check-in procedures for the transportation department.
- Help manage product inventory and work with Operations on coordinating 3rdParty pickups and product delivery including organizing backhauls.
- Cycle counting, recounts, and investigation of shortages.
- Gain understanding and exposure to various commodity proteins markets, pricing, and all aspects of procurement.
- Pricing and margin decisions along with product allocation.
- Work with Accounting, Warehouse, and Inventory Control on vendor and customer returns.
- Build and maintain both vendor relationships and customer relationships.
- Prospecting and continued development of existing business.
Requirements
- College degree in Supply Chain or Food Marketing.
- Superior systems skills including database creation and management. Must demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams software platforms
- Superior oral and written communication skills as well as proven presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting, communicating at all levels
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to completion
- Well organized and detail-oriented with outstanding time management skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interest in developing supervisory/management skills.
- Ability and desire to work in a refrigerated/frozen warehouse.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts during training, and non-standard (2nd or 3rd) shift upon completion of training.
