We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Tractor-Trailer Driver to transport materials to and from designated locations. This role involves delivering materials to customers and picking up supplies as needed, ensuring timely and accurate shipments. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL , a clean driving record, and experience operating commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Shift:
- Monday thru Friday
- Hours vary day to day based on business needs. Shifts may start as early as 3:00 a.m. and may extend until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m., depending on workload and scheduling requirements. Flexibility is required.
- Occasional overtime, weekend, or holiday work may be required based on business needs.
Compensation:
- Starting wage is $27.81 per hour, with potential for increases based on experience, skills, and proven performance.

Northwest Paper Box (NWPB) was founded in Portland Oregon, in 1953 by Marvin "Van" Van Allen and his wife, Betty, along with William "Bud" Van Allen and his wife Elsie. From the beginning, this family-owned company has been a true family affair, with many family members working here at different times.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operates a semi-truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
- If needed, must be able to operate a box truck with a lift gate.
- Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations.
- Prioritize safety, professionalism, and customer service while representing our company.
- Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas.
- Assists with loading of or loads and unloads good and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; unloads empty skids, and returns all equipment to designated area.
- Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to shipping office or other appropriate staff when delivery route is complete.
- Must complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and immediately notify the manager of any issues that compromise safety or regulatory compliance.
- Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs.
- Must be able to load and unload packages in various types of weather.
