· Develop, schedule, and implement all production activities for assigned product cell (e.g., Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, Flat Panel Displays, Air Data Products, Line Replaceable Units, etc.).
· Ensure production is maintained in accordance with delivery schedules, engineering specifications, quality standards, expense budgets, employee safety and cost goals.
· Coordinate with production planning and master scheduling to react to schedule changes.
· Get assistance (Engineering, Purchasing, Planning, etc.) when required to ensure all goals are consistently achieved.
· Coordinate day-to-day activities of assembler/solderers, equipment operators, test technicians and other assigned production personnel, including personnel supervision, work assignments, and coordination of the product flow through all production phases to completion.
· Coordinate product flow through all production phases to completion.
· Translate weekly and monthly schedules for product area into daily work assignments.
· Report on daily production status.
· Maintain, monitor, and drive improvement in all production metrics.
· Accountable for department performance to these measures.
· Involved in the development of new and existing production metrics.
· Strive to continuously improve the function and operation of the department.
· Promote teamwork within the department.
· Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
· Promote employee acceptance of changes.
· Ensure all manufacturing instructions are utilized by production employees.
· Ensure all manufacturing, quality, safety, and materials processes are observed.
· Ensure all equipment in the work area is handled and maintained properly.
· Ensure production and other required paperwork is processed in a timely and accurate manner.
· Perform data entry and inquiry of production information in MRP software.
· Coordinate introduction into manufacturing of all major projects such as new products, major methods changes, automation, etc.
· Monitor the skill level of production employees.
· Responsible for training, qualifications, and certification of direct reports.
· Determine where skill gaps exist and cross train individuals in department to close those gaps.
· Conduct performance management of employees with the support of Human Resources and the VP of Operations.
· Conduct disciplinary actions with the support of Human Resources and the VP of Operations.
· Interview prospective employees.
· Offer guidance and coaching to direct reports.

Professional Requirements:
· Associates degree or equivalent senior level experience.
· Excellent communication and organizational skills.
· Capability to lead in a team environment.
· Direct knowledge of NetSuite system (or similar MRP) and supporting processes.
· Good Problem solving, decision making, time-management and organizational skills.
· Results oriented.
· Requires complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general aspects and technical phases of the job (electro-mechanical assembly, blueprint reading, IPC-610 soldering, ISO 9000, etc.).
· Basic computer skills and familiarity with office productivity software.
· Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and demonstrated continuous improvement activities are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must pass an eye exam.
· Capable of reading small print.
· Ability to work with various hand tools and presses required.
· Shift varies between standing, walking, reaching, sitting, bending, and lifting.
