SUMMARY
As a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) with Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will provide 1:1 behavioral interventions to children and adolescents between the ages of 2-21 years old who are diagnosed with a qualifying diagnosis. The goal of the BHT is to improve independence to levels which require less or no service intervention. The BHT will attempt to transfer skills to the child / adolescent and parents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides face-to-face behavioral interventions. Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITP).
Provides support to parents, teachers, and community individuals.
Delivers and models treatment interventions.
Provides positive reinforcement to the clients and families.
Implements consequences for inappropriate actions as agreed upon.
Communicates with peers and co-workers and exchanges information which is important in achieving the individual goals for the clients.
Setting and adhering to professional boundaries with all clients and families.
Provides culturally aware and competent service provision.
Completes initial training curriculum as per company requirements and guidelines and state regulatory standards.

TRAVEL
This position requires travel up to 20% of the time with clients being no more than 30 min from staff’s home, unless specifically agreed upon.

? Optional Insurances: After 3 months of full-time employment, you will have the opportunity to enroll in Voluntary Life insurance and Short and/or Long Term Disability. The premium will be deducted from each paycheck.
? Clinical Experience and Supervision: As an employee of Hummingbird ABA Therapy, you will be eligible to receive clinical experience hours and supervision towards the RBT, BCaBA, or BCBA credentials through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). BACB supervision requires a separate contract, as per the BACB’s requirements.

Training and Tuition Reimbursement: After 3 months of full-time employment, you will be eligible for reimbursement of up to $350 per year for any trainings or tuition expenses related to your position. To receive reimbursement, you must submit a written request along with a copy of the receipt and training/course description to Human Resources.

Behavioral Health Technicians shall meet all of the following requirements prior to starting the position:
- Must have clean PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Clearances
- Must have a minimum of high school diploma or GED
Applicants with a certificate from a valid 40 hour RBT Training Course or with certification as an RBT, BCaBA, BCAT, or IBT preferred.
