Security Systems Inside Support Specialist

Description

  

The Systems Inside Support Specialist will maintain, control, support, and provide technical oversight for projects supporting the Security department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to system health monitoring, administrative programming, deploying system upgrades, new installations, integrations, data management, system functionality, compliance with department policies.

   

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide remote support to onsite Technicians and End User.
  • Troubleshoot Access Control, CCTV and Burglar Alarm systems and programming.
  • Create and host training programs for users within the department and end users
  • System programing, user profile maintenance, periodic audits, and data entry
  • Maintain successful collaboration and daily working relationship with operations and service department
  • Research and find new up-to-date solutions as technology advances
  • Apply camera and access control licensing to different security applications
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with project staff, vendors, contractors
  • Make recommendations for continuation of vendor contracts
  • Interpret project scope; provide recommendations for scope revision during bid process
  • Understand contract specific requirements
  • Provide weekly status updates to next level manager to include accomplishments, activities in progress, planned and upcoming activities, status of deliverables, meetings/conferences/ presentations, issues/problems/questions, and support needed from manager or corporate


Requirements

  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess high school diploma
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing a global, integrated, enterprise-wide security systems


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of corporate-level project experience
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study
  • History of working openly and collaboratively with various departments providing customer service with accurate and timely status updates and reports.
  • Experience in use of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Broad technical skills in IT systems and infrastructures
  • Ability to train others and formalize training programs
  • Superior documentation and presentation skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Basic understanding of network technology
  • Self-driven and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within defined deadlines
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly
  • Customer service skills by aiding customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity

PREFERRED Certifications and Experience:

  • Integrated security systems such as Genetec, S2, Lenel, RS2, Verkada, Gallagher, Milestone, Hanwha, Avigilon, Premisys, WinDSX, DSC, DMP, Bosch, Vanderbuilt, Aiphone, Mircom
