Summary: 


The bartender‘s number one responsibility is to provide great service to our guests through product knowledge (beer and food), guest engagement, bar maintenance and going above and beyond guest expectations. 


Duties:

  • Being a promotional spokesperson for Saint Arnold; this is a part of everybody’s job description
  • Be prepared to work at designated start time
  • Be presentable to guests at all times following the company dress code
  • Bartenders should have extensive knowledge of beer styles, SABC beers and food and should stay abreast of new and upcoming products and trends in the industry
  • Greet guests upon arrival and create a welcoming environment for all guest
  • Assist guests in making beer, food and merchandise choices and upsell when appropriate
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders using the POS system
  • Pour and serve beer and other beverages for the bar and beer garden as required
  • Deliver food and beverage assuring accuracy prior to delivery
  • Maintain a clean bar environment for our guests
  • Keep inventory and supplies stocked
  • Guest service including accommodating all guest requests, if possible
  • Close tickets and collect payment using the POS system
  • Following the company’s cash handling policy at all times
  • Opening and closing duties as required
  • Know and follow all laws, rules, regulations and company policies regarding the serving of alcoholic beverages and proper food handling; this is a part of everybody’s job description.
  • Work as a team with all coworkers
  • All other duties as assigned


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Previous work experience as a waiter or bartender required
  • Prior POS experience required
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer required
  • Basic math and money handling skills
  • TABC seller certification and Texas Food Handler’s Training required prior to start and must be maintained throughout tenure
  • Ability to be attentive to guest needs
  • Must be able to be on your feet for the duration of your shift
  • Ability to maintain patience with guests and coworkers in difficult situations
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to communicate in English (read, write and speak). Additional language skills are a plus
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Be a craft beer lover!
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Ability to think quickly and creatively to address unique quest needs
