PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS
The Senior System Administrator will manage and optimize our Salesforce environment while supporting enterprise applications broadly alongside other members of our technology team. This role ensures system stability, security, and efficiency, fosters internal expertise, and reduces reliance on external vendors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
System Administration & Optimization
- Salesforce Configuration & Customization: Maintain and enhance objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and page layouts to improve functionality and user experience.
- Data Integrity & System Maintenance: Import, update, and maintain clean data, conduct integrity checks, perform system backups, and monitor performance logs.
- System Monitoring & Upgrades: Manage system updates, releases, sandbox environments, and optimize platform performance.
- Process Optimization & Integrations: Streamline business processes, support integrations with enterprise applications, and ensure seamless data flow.
- Security & Compliance: Administer user roles, permissions, and security settings while conducting audits, enforcing best practices, and addressing vulnerabilities.
User Enablement & Strategic Collaboration
- End-User Support & Training: Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and train users to enhance adoption and self-sufficiency.
- Reporting & Insights: Develop and refine reports and dashboards in collaboration with business analysts and architects to support data-driven decision-making.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with external vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot issues, validate solutions, and enhance system functionality.
- Cost & Value Oversight: Monitor and manage Salesforce-related costs, optimizing system investments to maximize value delivery.
KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce administration experience, with exposure to multiple instances.
- Salesforce Certified Administrator required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred.
- Experience managing system configurations and security settings in Salesforce.
- Strong background in data management, reporting, dashboard creation, automation, and integrations for business insights in Salesforce.
- Experience collaborating with vendors, technical teams, and business stakeholders to optimize system performance.
- Experience working in scrum and/or agile frameworks.
Skills & Abilities:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to diagnose system issues, assess data quality, and optimize platform configurations.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong grasp of Salesforce security models, automation tools, and integration capabilities.
- Communication & Training: Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical users and provide effective training.
- Problem-Solving: Resourceful approach to troubleshooting, system enhancements, and process improvements.
- Project Coordination: Ability to manage competing priorities, plan upgrades, and work cross-functionally with technical and business teams.
- Security & Compliance Awareness: Understanding of data security best practices, permission management, and system governance.
- Business Acumen: Ability to align Salesforce capabilities with organizational goals while optimizing cost and value delivery.
Hours & Location:
- This is not a fully remote position as we work in a hybrid office environment. In-Office and hybrid/flexible schedules are based on business need, staff readiness, and approved by one's supervisor.
- You must live in or be able to relocate to Tulsa, OK or the surrounding area.
- This is a full-time position with an expectation of working 40 hours per week.
- The typical hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to occasionally work hours outside of 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. for events.
