The Role
In this role, you will lead a team responsible for activities related to materials planning and inventory management of the plant. Your and your team are responsible for demand planning, sales order processing, master scheduling, production planning, buying/expediting, inventory receiving, cycle counting, and shipping, as well as the sales inventory and operations planning (SIOP) process for the plant. 


The Materials Manager supports and reports to the Plant Manager and works closely with peers in other functions such as operations, sourcing, customer service, and sales to support the growth of the company through customer satisfaction and management of working capital.

Requirements

To be a relevant candidate, we prefer that you have an academic background in logistics or industrial economics, or alternatively, several years of experience in a similar role. You are skilled in production planning, material and inventory management, and knowledgeable about flows within the manufacturing industry. You have likely held a similar role in a leadership position. It is advantageous if you have experience working according to LEAN principles and are familiar with working in Monitor.


We highly value your personal qualities. As a person, you are logical and analytical with the ability to quickly see trends/patterns and act accordingly. You believe that a coaching approach is the way to succeed as a leader. You prioritize and understand the importance of presence and availability to create involvement. Being open and positive and enjoying working with people are prerequisites for the position. Furthermore, you have good communication skills and communicate fluently in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing. You are driven by challenges, are a team player, and excel at questioning the “status quo” and have the capacity to implement necessary changes.
