Job Summary
Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Communications and Development, the Communications and Development Assistant provides support to the Department of Stewardship at Saint William Catholic Church. The Communications and Development Assistant is responsible for supporting the administrative duties of the Director of Communications and Development.

We are a vibrant, growing parish seeking a part-time Communications and Development Assistant who is a strong servant leader with the ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment. The Communications and Development Assistant will use this position to strengthen and uphold the Pastor’s vision and become an effective member of the Saint William staff.
Essential Job Duties:
· An effective member of the Saint William Operations Team
· Supports the Director of Communications and Development to maintain a strong, vibrant, organized ministry and communications program.
· Assists with the weekly email.
· Assists with the weekly bulletin.
· Provides support and engagement on Facebook and social media.
· Provides support for livestream events.
· Supports all other communications platforms (web/blog updates, announcements, etc.)
· Supports the Department of Stewardship with special events.
· Attends staff meetings.
· All other duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, working knowledge of (or ability to learn) Canva, and website tool languages.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) prefer.
· Knowledge of the Catholic Church.
· Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, and in writing.
· Ability to work effectively with others, including, but not limited to, outside groups, internal staff, volunteers, and parish organizations.
· Ability to organize, prioritize, and utilize effective time management techniques.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
· Skilled in planning, organizing, and following through on multiple tasks and changing deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
· Completed or currently seeking higher education at an accredited American university or Community College.
Language:
· English and Spanish (proficiency in conversing, reading, and writing), is preferred.
Catholic Requirement:
· Must be a practicing Roman Catholic in good standing.
Licenses/Certifications:
· Must maintain compliance with the Diocese of Austin Ethics and Integrity in Ministry (EIM) policies throughout the employment period.
