Description

Summary

The AVL Venue Tech is responsible for all production systems in our Faith Hall venue in coordination with the Multi-Site Technical Director. This role ensures quality staffing, set-up, maintenance, and venue prep for all events. 


  

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and motivate volunteers for meaningful service in production roles
  • Maintain all tech gear in Faith Hall
  • Manage gear repair and ordering of gear for the venue in coordination with the Muli-Site Technical Director
  • Meet with ministries using Faith Hall to coordinate all events/services 
  • Meet with clients renting Faith Hall to confirm their needs for the event
  • Book contractors to staff all events in Faith Hall
  • Assist in other events on campus as assigned by supervisor
  • Assist in integration and repair projects across campus as assigned by supervisor
  • Support NextGen environments in Faith Hall
  • Support and setup all small group AVL needs in Faith Hall
  • Maintain a clean environment in all tech areas, including the stage
  • Work closely with NextGen SPD to ensure excellence in service programming
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

  • Proficient operation of audio, video, and lighting equipment including DiGiCo, Yamaha, Ross, Blackmagic, FOR-A and GrandMA
  • Extensive experience with FOH live Audio Engineer in large capacity venue
  • Knowledge of AVL Gear set up and running of gear
  • Knowledge of both Mac and PC to connect computers to AV gear
  • Knowledge of ProPresenter and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Web navigation for accessing Client assets, preferred extensive 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
  • Flexibility in schedule with required responsibilities on Sunday morning and Tuesday and Wednesday evening NextGen events and occasional Friday and Saturday special events 
  • Off-site travel is required, and occasional overnight travel may be required

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma; required 
  • 5 years of experience in Audio tech role combined with knowledge of lighting and video, preferred large setting venue


Physical Requirements

This job operates mainly in an office/church/stage environment but may require being outside in the heat/weather during special events. While performing the duties of this job, the employee might be required to sit for long periods of time, walk and stand; talk or hear both in person and by telephone; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 75 lbs.
