We are a distinguished employment law firm based in Los Angeles, California, seeking a full-time Associate Attorneys for its Pre-Litigation Team. We are looking for confident, energetic, and sharp attorneys who are quick on-their-feet thinkers.


Area of Practice: Exclusively labor and employment matters, on behalf of employees in California, with focus on wage and hour class/PAGA actions and single-plaintiff employment lawsuits.


Title: Associate Attorney (Pre-Litigation)


Location: Glendale, CA  (on-site preferred; may consider hybrid on-site/remote)


Hours: Full-Time


Salary: $100,000 to $130,000+ (Commensurate with Experience)


License Requirements: Active California State Bar license required, with no disciplinary history.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
  • Active California State Bar license, with no disciplinary history
  • Plaintiff or defense side labor and employment experience is strongly preferred
  • Great phone etiquette
  • Heavy note-taking and typing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, professional attitude, customer service, honesty, dependable, computer savvy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Email / Calendar, Adobe Acrobat, Apple Operating System, and other Litigation Software
  • Fluency in English (spoken & written). Spanish is a plus


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct phone consultations with prospective clients (employees who have disputes with their current or former employers)
  • Answer prospective clients’ questions
  • Guide prospective clients through legal problems
  • Draft demand letters
  • Negotiate pre-litigation settlements
  • Prepare for and attend pre-litigation mediations
  • File and handle claims with administrative agencies including attending hearings with the Civil Rights Department and the Department of Industrial Relations
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex legal matters
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards
