O Bee Credit Union is hiring a Payment Services Manager to join our amazing team at our Administration Office. This is a full-time role that plays a vital part in supporting our mission, our Members, and our one-of-a-kind company culture.
What You’ll Do
As our Payment Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for world class Member Service through the oversight and management of payments operations of the Credit Union. This role will lead, direct and guide the payment operations team to ensure effective modernization of Credit Union payment processing in execution of the overall payments strategy. This role is responsible for the efficient and effective processing of ACH, wires, bill pay, real-time, and debit/credit card payments in a Member-centric, compliant, and innovative manner, including settlement and reconciliation. This role will leverage deep technical knowledge and strong people leadership skills to position the team for growth and will be responsible for driving results by implementing new payments technologies and processes.
Responsibilities
- Stay up to date with emerging payment trends and technologies, recommend strategies to ensure payment operations remain both effective and efficient.
- Implement strategies, practices, and procedures to optimize payment operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Oversee the processing of ACH, wires and real time payments, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to identify needs or opportunities for the implementation of new regulations, process improvements and risk mitigation.
- Oversee the card production, performance and enhancements of our debit and credit card offerings.
- Oversee the processing and servicing of ATM disputes, merchant disputes and fraud claims, both in house and oversight of third-party case management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand Member preferences and to implement new payment products and services.
- Maintain strong collaborative relationships with our payment service and technology providers.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of payment operations professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and provide regular reporting and analysis of payment operations performance.
- Accountable for the department’s quality, timeliness and compliance in the development and execution of operational processes, to include operational efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability or resources.
- Lead the team in organizational or departmental projects, including assuring appropriate controls and risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, procedures and training while ensuring successful collaboration with internal stakeholders.
- Approaches decisions through data driven models and recommends best practices and enhancements.
- Provide research, support and collaboration with Team Members in pursuit of world class Member service.
- Maintain strong internal controls and effective regulatory compliance.
Supervisory Work
- Performs the administrative and management functions relative to the staff supervised. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations. Provides feedback, coaching, and professional development regarding employee performance during monthly one on one.
What Desired Qualifications You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business related discipline (preferred) or equivalent professional work experience.
- Three years’ experience in payment operations, with a deep understanding of ACH, debit and credit cards, wires, and real-time payments.
- Two years’ of supervisory experience with strong leadership and management skills, and the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Proven analytical and technical skills, ability to independently troubleshoot and problem solve.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the Credit Union.
- Must be able to pass a background and credit check.

The Details
- Location: Administration Building, Lacey, WA
- Pay range: $78,196.57 to $117,294.86 annually, depending on experience
