What You Will Be Doing
As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, running reports for management and Accounting team, recording a wide range of financial transactions and bookkeeping assistance. Duties include bank reconciliation, drafting financial documents, vendor management, entering invoices and expense vouchers.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Processing and entering AP transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Performing bank runs, mailing vendor checks and conducting bank reconciliation.
- Maintaining vendor database and ensuring insurance requirements and reconciliation is completed.
- Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure requests are addressed.
- Entering key financial transactions into the database, daily.
- Purchase tracking and recording.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years relevant accounting experience preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent, associate degree optional.
- Familiar with basic accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- SAGE or Vista Viewpoint experience preferred but not required.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to multitask and maintain accurate data.
