Goodwill Industries of New Mexico is looking for a SCSEP Data Tech to assist our program which serves low income seniors in obtaining employment training and reaching their employment goals. We are a New Mexico nonprofit corporation with 16 stores throughout the state and the Next Steps program is the newest of the many community based social services that we offer.  $16.25/hour, guaranteed 38 hours a week. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to the attendance and punctuality policies of Goodwill 
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills as related to your position 
  • Complete intake/orientation process on program participants 
  • Audit participant and host agency files to ensure required documentation and maintain files to CARF/GII/DOL/GINM standards 
  • Ensure participant and host agency files meet the GII/DOL data validation requirements 
  • Participate in Case Record Review 
  • Provide support functions to department staff and participants including but not limited to quarterly reports, Individual Employment Plans, reports, minutes, etc. 
  • Filing of all documentation 
  • Responsible for notification of various activities to participants, funders and host agencies 
  • Maintain SCSEP list of interest using most in need standards 
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and complete purchase orders for supplies as needed 
  • Ensure SCSEP performance measure follow-ups are conducted and completed 
  • Maintain accurate and complete data entry into SPARQ and TrackIt databases per GII/DOL/GINM standards and maintain various spreadsheets 
  • Implement CARF standards into all programs and follow professional ethics as set forth in GINM’s Code of Conduct / Business Ethics policy 
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance 
  • Knowledge and compliance of organizational practices, policies and procedures 
  • Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Safety policies and procedures 
  • Travel to local sites with the possibility of overnights stays 
  • Complete reports as required by program 
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings 
  • Maintain confidentially of all privileged information 
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned 


Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A 


Not a care giver position: This position does not provide direct care or have routine unsupervised physical or financial access to care recipients served by Goodwill Industries of New Mexico. 


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Knowledge of the Older Americans Act, Workforce Investment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and associated regulations and procedures 
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Access) 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills 
  • Knowledge of social service and community agency practices 
  • Ability to maintain partnerships with local employers and host agencies 
  • Math Skills 
  • Organization and attention to detail skills 
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented and strong initiative 
  • Read, write, and understand English 
  • Carry out instructions in verbal and written format 
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively; bilingual in English and Spanish a plus 
  • Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds and people with disabilities 
  • Work extended hours and various work schedules 
  • Work independently and demonstrate time management skills 
  • Maintain confidentiality of information 
  • Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work under pressure and possess strong work commitment 
  • Ability to acquire certification in First Aid and CPR 
  • Acquire mandated trainings within 1 year of hire 


Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to use hands, fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; see, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, and stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and lift/move up to 25 lbs and may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception. 


Minimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a credit and criminal background check and drug test. 


  • High School diploma 
  • 1 – 2 years experience in related administrative field 
  • Experience working with individuals with barriers to employment preferred
