Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Bartender at Evaga Restaurant is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking drink and food orders, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable dining experience. The bartender maintains a clean and organized work environment, restocks supplies, and follows safety and cleanliness standards throughout the shift.

REPORTS TO: General Manager/ Bar Manager

LOCATION: The Elmont 

DEPARTMENT: Evaga Restaurant 

Pay: Hourly plus tips

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and take drink and food orders from customers in a friendly and professional manner. 
  • Remain attentive to customers throughout their entire dining experience, ensuring all needs are met promptly. 
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, adhering to all company guidelines. 
  • Perform opening and closing side work, which includes restocking supplies, cleaning, and organizing the bar and service areas. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization standards in the restaurant, wait station, and kitchen service areas. 
  • Accurately receive payment from guests, process transactions, and handle cash and credit card payments. 
  • Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay updated on operational changes and new procedures. 
  • Present a clean and professional appearance at all times while adhering to the company’s grooming and uniform standards. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Previous bartending or customer service experience preferred. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old (or meet local legal requirements for bartending). 
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work weekends, holidays and events. 
  • Must have TABC and Food Handlers certification


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is typically performed in the resort. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The work involves a majority of standing, bending, stooping, twisting, climbing and some lifting up to 50 lbs.
