Crane Operator
Description

Assemble and fabricate metal cabinets, enclosures, bases, and/or other components.

  • Perform all crane movements within the facility, including moving bases and buildings, setting equipment in buildings, and loading completed buildings on trailers.
  • Maintain a crane operator certification.
  • Coordinate with production staff to schedule and execute crane operations in alignment with production needs.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of the crane to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of rigging and lifting equipment to ensure they are in good condition and safe to use.
  • Analyze loads to ensure crane capacities and rigging are acceptable and safe for each operation.
  • Serve as the go-to person for all site rigging and loading questions.
  • Identify and resolve any issues related to crane operations promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Follow established safety guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as requested.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred. Equivalent experience may be acceptable.
  • Experience operating bridge cranes and advanced rigging.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, tape measure, grinders, and saws safely.
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Requires good judgment, and ability to work with others and perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Experience operating a forklift preferred.
