Customized Mechanical Solutions, LLC a subsidiary of CMS Corporation, is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects, including financial, scheduling, and technical management in adherence to contract stipulations, project plans, and established corporate protocols. Other duties include formulating proposals, estimating costs, developing and predicting schedules, delineating projects, designing, execution in the field, and closing out projects.
Job Duties:
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of job specifications, project requirements, and corporate policies.
- Develop the project schedule, budget, and plans for successful project performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact with all clients and provide direction and planning on all communications as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Prepare proposals and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to proposal agreements with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors in conjunction with the Pre-Construction and Proposal Teams.
- Identify, plan, organize, and assist in the staffing of project positions using CMS internal or external hiring policies.
- Ensure the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and within established quality standards to ensure a positive client evaluation.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects profitably while protecting the company’s interests and maintaining good relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress, and cost tracking reports as required.

Required Skills
- A background in mechanical construction is preferred.
- Ability to effectively develop a cohesive team working together to achieve project goals
- Capable of professionally representing the organization through verbal/non-verbal communication, written correspondence, and face-to-face interactions with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. to expand relationships and grow the business.
- A comprehensive understanding of construction or related technology, scheduling, project contracts, interpretation of plans and specifications, financial planning and monitoring, as well as equipment proficiency, is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6 is necessary.
- The ability to work independently and perform assignments with minimal supervision is essential.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Science, and 3 years working as an Assistant Project Manager, or more than 7 years of similar outside project management-related experience; or
- An Associate’s degree in Construction Management/Engineering/Science, and 5 or more years working as an Assistant Project Manager, or more than 9 years of similar outside project management experience;
Travel
- 10% - 25% Travel Required
- Travel frequency is subject to change based on project volume and scope.
Physical Requirements
This position required Team Members to work in the Field and office setting. When working in the field, team members will work around moving heavy machinery and equipment and working in outside conditions, including inclement weather, heat, humidity, and cold. The noise level may be loud at times due to machinery and equipment. Must be able to move objects weighing up to 40 lbs. using abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support repetitively for 10 to 20
minute intervals without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs for the duration of shift. When in the office, Team Members can anticipate Sedentary work in a climate-controlled environment with moderate noise levels. Most duties performed require the use of a computer, phone, and in-person or virtual meetings. Maintain a stationary position for prolonged periods during the shift. Constant operation of computer and other office equipment such as copy machine, phone, and printer. Occasionally transport objects up to 15 lbs. such as small parcels, packages, and other items.
