Job Title:          Human Resources Coordinator

FLSA Status:   Full-time, Exempt

Salary:             $65,000 - $80,000

Location:         Ypsilanti, MI or Remote


  

Job Summary: 


 The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department by managing various administrative tasks and ensuring smooth HR operations. This position involves coordinating recruitment processes, scheduling interviews, maintaining employee records, and assisting with onboarding new hires. The HR Coordinator also handles employee inquiries, supports HR projects, and ensures compliance with company policies and employment laws. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential for success in this role. Additionally, proficiency in HR software and a good understanding of HR best practices are highly valued. 

Requirements

  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Assisting in the recruitment process, including posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting orientation sessions for new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Addressing employee queries and concerns, facilitating communication between staff and management, and helping resolve workplace conflicts.
  • Benefits Administration: Administering employee benefits like health insurance and retirement plans.
  • Compliance and Record Keeping: Ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies, maintaining employee records, and handling documentation related to employment.
  • Training and Development: Coordinating training programs, tracking employee progress, and supporting professional development initiatives.
  • Performance Management: Assisting in performance appraisal processes, collecting feedback, and helping implement performance improvement plans.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics: Preparing HR reports, analyzing data related to employee performance, turnover rates, and other metrics to support decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in HR roles, with a strong understanding of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Certification from SHRM or HRCI is a plus.

  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.


Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit for long periods of time, bend, use hands to manipulate (type), talk and hear; walk; sit, and lift or move no more than ten (10) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral visions, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions:

Reporting Relationships:

Reports to the HR Manager, Director, or other member of Senior Leadership.
