The summer internship begins May 12, 2025 and ends August 15, 2025. Please note that this internship is eligible for benefits due to its full-time, albeit temporary, work schedule.

The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty excellence. Our summer intern will join our highly motivated Development team in advancing our mission through donor research and developing new donor engagement processes and tools.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Reporting to the Leadership Annual Giving Officer:

  • Support prospect identification and communications.
  • Create fundraising materials, including proposals, presentations, management reports.
  • Maintain current research in donor database.
  • Support the Development team with planning and execution of Annual Fund appeals.

  • Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as may be required.

Requirements

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including creating presentations.
  • Volunteer experience (i.e., community, education, religious, student).
  • Strong visual, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to learn customer relationship management software (Salesforce CRM).
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical and research skills.
  • Maintaining focus while working under timeline pressure.


PHYSICAL CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for long periods on occasion and carry objects up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel by car.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
Required:
Current student at Texas A&M University. 

Preferred: Currently enrolled at Texas A&M with degree focus on Nonprofit Leadership, Business, Communications, Marketing, and similar.
