POSITION SUMMARY:
- The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for supervising skilled trade employees in support of production processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Support maintenance related automation and controls of manufacturing operations;
- Plan preventative maintenance project operations and establish priorities;
- Ensures that all maintenance technicians are trained on the most updated version of the operating procedures;
- Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems;
- Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement;
- Establishes and maintain tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment;
- Prepares reports, analyzes data, and makes recommendations for improving plant operations and solving maintenance-related problems;
- Manages and supervises department supervisors;
- Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner;
- Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues;
- Assists with hiring maintenance personnel;
- Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs;
- Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.;
- Directs, maintains, and enforces the safety program for the maintenance department; reviews safety records to uphold standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians;
- Coordinates activities with Plant Manager;
- Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiates reordering when necessary.
- Work with Maintenance Director and establish yearly budgets.
- Help identify Cap Ex projects and submit to Maintenance Director.
- Works with outside vendors on project work and contract work dealing with facility equipment.
- Update and track all direct employees on their Training Matrix.
- Develop a KPI program to track, Safety, Cavitation, and monthly PM completion.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extensive knowledge with electrical and hydraulic machines;
- Strong PLC and robotics skills preferred;
- Responsible for following all Food Safety related policies and procedures;
- Responsible for following and enforcing all Safety Rules, policies, procedures and work instructions.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft and ERP system
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a highly automated manufacturing maintenance environment;
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
