The Association of Former Students engages and inspires the Aggie Network for Texas A&M University in perpetuating the Aggie Spirit. Through our Annual Fund, as well as other revenue streams, we provide scholarships, endowments, emergency student loans, and awards for faculty. Our newest colleague will join our highly motivated Aggie Ring Program team members in advancing our mission by providing premier customer service to current and former students.

THE ROLE
The Seasonal Aggie Ring Program Assistant works during Aggie Ring order cycles throughout the calendar year. Available to work six-hour shifts Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm, this individual may work a full 40-hour week during Aggie Ring order cycles and other heavy workload periods. Flexibility of time is a key requirement for this position.
AGGIE RING SEASONS
- Five weeks from mid-May through late June.
- Three weeks from mid-August through early September.
- Six weeks from January 1st through late February.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Point-of-sale for Aggie Ring orders.
- Complete approximately 30 to 35 Ring orders during each day’s shift.
- Answer technical questions regarding academic requirements prior to ordering.
- Ensure that each buyer feels our support and excitement about their Ring.
- Evaluate confidential records to determine eligibility to purchase an Aggie Ring.
- Assist with locating rightful owner of found Aggie Rings.
- Update biographical information in The Association’s database after each interaction.
- Prepare inventory by unpacking, inspecting, organizing or shipping Aggie Rings.

EMPLOYEES OF THE ASSOCIATION OF FORMER STUDENTS
- Participate in various Association-wide activities such as engagement and fundraising goals, internal event teams, task committees, attending gameday receptions, Distinguished Alumni Gala and other external events as required.
- Serve as an ambassador by meeting our Team Expectations, fostering relationships with students and other constituents of Texas A&M.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE (Minimum Requirements)
- Two years in a customer-facing role.
- One year working with point-of-sale software (processing credit card payments).
PHYSICAL CAPACITY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
Required: High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Undergraduate degree or equivalent education and experience in customer service and general office operations.
Highly Preferred: Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M university.
