Equipment Technician (Special Event)

Job Summary:

Maintain all Special Event equipment in clean and proper working condition and ensure equipment leaving our yard meets Andy

Gump, Inc. quality standards. Tend to trouble shooting and repairs as needed in the field.



Requirements

Job Duties and responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Responsible for proper operation, service and repair of all equipment on event sites, including out of town and overnight

assignments.

· Responsible for effective communication between customer and/or Operations personnel on event sites.

· May include supervision and documentation of temporary personnel and paperwork on event site, including time sheets and

assignment of duties.

· Responsible for the proper operation of company vehicle.

· Maintain and repair inventory to be in good working order.

· Inspect and maintain all safety equipment where applicable - lights, safety chains, hitches, pins, brake lights, etc.

· Maintain appearance of inventory to meet Andy Gump, Inc. standards.

· Make repairs as necessary.

· Restore and rebuild inventory as needed.

· Move equipment within our yards with forklift.

· Paint and touch-up trailers as needed.

· Inspect all inventory as it arrives in our yard. Document damages and report to Prep Supervisor on a daily basis.

· Stock and maintain inventory of supplies through Prep Supervisor.

· Keep work area safe, clean and orderly.

· Perform all duties in a safe manner.

· Maintain Class C driver’s license.

· All other duties as assigned by management.


Accountability:

Production is based on daily needs and is in addition to the “minimum equipment ready list”. Work to maintain that inventory

requirements are always met. Maintain quality and appearance of equipment. Communicate with Prep Supervisor through out the day to ensure inventory being prepped will meet delivery demands. Communicate with Special Events Operations Coordinator while onevent assignment.


Qualifications Guidelines Experience:

Experience in maintenance and repair of all Andy Gump Special Event equipment.

Experience operating hand tools, electric saws, air tools and forklift.


Education and/or Training:

On the job training is provided, including operation of company vehicles.

Knowledge: Must be able to trouble-shoot functions of all equipment. Be familiar with tools, safety devices on tools and forklift.

Skills/Abilities: Represent Andy Gump (and AG Clean) with a professional image. Communicate effectively with customers and the

public. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to operate tools, forklift and vehicles. Ability to follow verbal instructions

and communicate effectively with others.


Special requirements:

Forklift certificate. Class C license required. Clean DMV history (subject to DMV pull notice program).


Physical requirements/working conditions: Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. Will be exposed to weather conditions. Some tools are noisy. Finger dexterity is required to operate tools.
