We are seeking a versatile and experienced Press Room Floater to join our growing team. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in our press department, handling a variety of tasks from steel receiving to press operation, and filling in where needed. Responsibilities:

• Steel Receiving: 
  • Unload and store steel coils according to the Planner/Scheduler's instructions.
  • Inspect and measure steel coils to ensure they meet our quality standards.
  • Move coils to the pre-stage area and accurately input data into PLEX.
• Press Operations: 
  • Assist in operating both automatic and manual presses.
  • Support technicians with press changeovers and setups.
  • Assemble boxes for production and sort/rework parts as required.
• Production Support: 
  • Work efficiently to meet and exceed production goals.
  • Assist in analyzing and resolving work-related problems.
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
• Compliance and Safety: 
  • Adhere to and support company policies, procedures, ISO standards, and safety regulations.
  • Assist in investigating and documenting potential safety infractions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Teamwork and Communication: 
  • Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 
  • Minimum of 24 months of press operating experience.
  • Proficiency in hanging coils, performing press changeovers, and operating forklifts and cranes.
  • At least 12 months of steel receiving experience.
• Physical Requirements: 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically and 30 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand for the entire shift.
