Your Role: The Machine Operator is a key member of the Elliott Manufacturing Assembly department. Under direct to moderate supervision, you will be responsible for setting up and operating all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment. You undertake production tasks in accordance with work instructions while maintaining company safety and quality expectations.
What You'll Be Doing:
· Set up and operating specific machinery to produce parts to specifications and see that the quality standards are met
· Perform basic maintenance on equipment
· Visually inspect all welds to ensure they meet the Elliott welding workmanship requirements
· Troubleshoot problems
What You Need to Succeed:
· 1-3 years of production experience or educational equivalent preferred.

What Will Set You A part:
· Prior experience with FCAW, GTAW metals including but not limited to steel, stainless steel, and aluminum in primarily the 1G/1F position.
· Be certified or capable of becoming certified to AWS D1.1, and AWS D1.6.
· Knowledge of blueprint reading and welding symbols. Utilize fixtures to prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
· Highly motivated team player with excellent interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency using electronic spreadsheets, word processing, preferably Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation: $25-29/hr., depending on experience and qualifications

What to Expect: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment
Where You'll Work: You will work independently in a production environment on machinery within the Assembly department but will collaborate with other employees to complete tasks as assigned. Will spend most of their shift on their feet, operating machinery and doing assembly and other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager. Will have machine shop exposure and may be around weld hazards.
