JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Sales/Project Manager to oversee and manage both sales and project management functions within our organization. This role combines the responsibilities of project management, including coordinating resources and communicating with stakeholders, while also driving sales efforts and fostering client relationships. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in ensuring the successful execution of projects while maintaining strong customer relationships and achieving sales targets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Project Management Responsibilities:
- Labor Contracts: Negotiate labor rates within budget, Director of Opeartions (DOO) approval required
- Pre-construction Meetings: Schedule and coordinate pre-construction meetings with Field Manager, Installer, and Superintendent to review Scope of Work (SOW).
- Safety Meetings: Attend and contribute to safety meetings to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Material Procurement: Work in tandem with an Assistant Project Manager to maintain a material procurement log. Approve purchase orders for all materials required for the project. Regularly review inventory levels to ensure adequate supply.
- Work Orders: Create and distribute work orders for installers, ensuring they have the necessary diagrams and installation instructions.
- Installer Payroll: Prepare weekly payroll for installers, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Job Status Communication: Keep team members and customers informed of project status, including any delays due to jobsite issues or material lead times.
- Change Orders: Prepare and document any changes to the original project scope, ensuring clear communication and approvals.
- Project Closeout: Gather all required closeout documents, including attic stock (if applicable), and provide them to customers upon project completion.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Sales Development: Actively engage with potential clients to generate new sales opportunities and expand the company's project portfolio.
- Bid and Proposal Management: Review and submit accurate bids and proposals, working closely with clients to ensure all aspects of the project are captured.
- Project Lifecycle Sales Support: Provide ongoing sales support during the life cycle of the project, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any sales-related concerns that may arise.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably within the construction industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Pro Core and Construct Connect software platforms.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to professionally interact with both internal teams and clients.
- Travel: Ability to travel regionally up to 25% of the time as needed for project oversight or client meetings.
- Mathematical Ability: Regular use of math for conversions and determining pallet quantities, carton quantities, and ordering requirements.
- Microsoft Excel: Strong skills in Excel, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess and make decisions quickly.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional planning and organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Perform other duties as required or requested by management.
- Ability to sit at computer monitor for long periods throughout the day.
- Must possess the ability to stand for long periods of time; to reach with hands and arms; to move among and between offices; to handle mail and documents; to sit, stoop, kneel and crouch; to lift and move up to 10 pounds; to see well enough to discern differences in quality of documents and files.
