Summary/Objective
Supervise and coordinate the activities of Food Safety including but not limited to quality assurance, customer service, and logistics (freight and internal warehousing) for two facilities.
Essential Functions

1. Monitor and enforce requirements of SSOP, GMP, and HACCP programs.
2. Quality Control Testing and Documentation
a. Execute quality tests on all products produced.
b. Place out of spec batches and raw materials on hold.
c. Maintain documentation used in the QC lab daily. Elevate updates accordingly.
d. File product lab sheets and raw material COA’s in a timely fashion.
e. Execute the following prerequisite programs:
i. Environmental testing program
ii. FG micro testing program
iii. RM micro testing program
iv. Hold and release program
v. Control and retain samples maintenance & testing
vi. Rework release program
3. Manage inbound/outbound paperwork
4. Verify truck and order information for correctness, checking it against previously obtained information as necessary.
5. Review orders for completeness per reporting procedures and forward to customer appointments.
6. Communicate C of A and BOL information to customer.
7. Obtain customers' names, addresses, and billing information, product numbers, and specifications of items to be purchased, and enter this information on order forms.
8. Schedule appointments.
9. Confer with driver and production to ensure complete information entered into NAV.
10. Inspect outgoing work for compliance with customers' specifications.
11. File paperwork as required.
12. Perform any other duties assigned.
Competencies
1. Related on-the-job experience or an associate’s degree. Two or more years of work-related experience.
2. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost management, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
3. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
Supervisory Responsibility
Directly supervises the warehouse and Assistant Plant Administrator
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
Travel
No overnight travel is expected for this position.
