YOUR PURPOSE
Responsible for engaging within the communities we serve by representing HZCU through actively participating in community events, financial education, volunteer programs, business development and corporate giving. Under the supervision of the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Administrator supports regional and branch managers in the implementation of branch wish lists, volunteer opportunities and community outreach efforts, develops and deepens community partnerships, assists with the delivery of financial education, supports business development efforts, represents HZCU on committees and boards, communicates regarding community engagement topics on employee intranet (hub), yammer and social media. The Community Engagement Administrator seeks and finds new opportunities to assist with promoting the overall goals of the credit union to serve our communities, deepen member relationships and increase our growth. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- In conjunction with the Strategic Marketing Plan and Community Engagement Plan will support community engagement initiatives and activities in all regions.
- Works directly with branch managers on identification and implementation of Community Outreach initiatives as identified in the annual branch wish lists
- Represents HZCU at a variety of Community and Marketing events/meetings and be able to communicate clearly about our mission, products, and community engagement activities
- Actively engages with community partners to identify volunteer opportunities and with employees to encourage and promote volunteerism and group volunteer activities
- Serves as the key point of contact and coordinator for Marketing department events in local and other regions as needed
- Generates and creates social media content
- Present Financial Education workshops and financial reality fairs
- Monitor credit union social and community trends and issues
- Completes special projects as needed

The full pay range for this position across all the states in which we hire is $26.09-$36.52. The figures shown represent the minimum and maximum of the range for this role. Individual offers are made dependent upon a candidate’s experience, education, and skill level.

EXPERTISE YOU NEED
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Community Relations, Public Relations, Business or Marketing required. Minimum of five years directly related experience in community relations, business development, public relations or related role. Minimum of five years of directly related experience to include organizing and conducting special event activities and projects in a business development/community relations position preferred. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience in volunteer work, management systems and delivery of financial education is preferred. Ability to work flexible hours as needed including mornings, late evenings, weekends and travel. Reliable transportation is required.

- Strong communication skills to include the ability to articulate clearly in both written and verbal delivery methods
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experienced with Social Media
- Strong interpersonal skills, including maintaining positive relationships and excellent customer service skills
- Works effectively and collaboratively in a diverse work group, as well as independently with limited supervision
- Analyzes and interprets data for understanding and communicates diverse information

ABLE TO
To perform the essential functions of this position an employee must be able to meet the following workplace demands: ability to converse with others, detect sound, identify and detect objects, count, read, write, operate a computer, handle and feel objects, reach with hands/arms and be stationary and/or stand and/or move for long periods. Occasionally an employee will lift/pull/push and carry up to 25 to 50 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and be able to maintain balance doing these activities. Position requires sound reasoning, good judgment and ability to apply knowledge toward work activities. The noise level is moderate and typical of a normal office environment.
