The Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) is the 501(c)(3) research and education institute of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. CLI is an organization dedicated to providing timely research and education on affirming life and ultimately ending abortion. In just over a decade, CLI has become the go-to source for its accurate and timely research. With a current network of over 75 Associate Scholars from a variety of disciplines, CLI provides pro-life groups and policy makers research-based information of the highest quality on issues including abortion, women’s health, prenatal diagnosis and treatment for the unborn, perinatal hospice, abortion reporting, sex-selection abortion, stem cell research and medicine, and health care policy.
The Digital Marketing Manager is a hybrid position that combines aspects of publications, external communications, and digital marketing to produce easy to digest marketing content based on CLI research for wide distribution. This position requires someone who is an excellent writer, is experienced in using digital and online marketing tools, and has a talent for distilling complex research publications into short-form, engaging content for wide distribution. The ideal candidate would have meticulous attention to detail and would be committed to maintaining accuracy while producing summary materials.
This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Executive Director.
Essential Functions:
- Distill lengthy research publications on various life issues into concise, compelling content appropriate for wide distribution across digital platforms and email newsletters.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to promote CLI’s research papers to target audiences.
- Draft marketing copy for emails, ad campaigns, landing pages, and event invitations.
- Manage and expand email distribution lists.
- Work with communications team and Advancement team to utilize digital tools, including social media, to maximize reach and engagement with CLI publications and materials.
- Manage CLI’s website content, including the posting of new content and ensuring the standardization of online content according to best practices.
- Monitor and analyze CLI’s online performance metrics to inform strategic plans for effective dissemination of publications.
- Coordinate marketing materials (e.g. print ads, publications, videos) for CLI’s participation in and dissemination of research at conferences throughout the year.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or related field
Preferred Education/Experience
- External communications experience, such as email marketing and writing social media content, and producing video content preferred.
Competencies
- Excellence in writing, especially with an eye for condensing complex scientific and medical research into compelling content.
- Must be tech-savvy and experienced with digital platforms, including but not limited to email marketing tools, social media, and websites.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Deadline-driven, and able to handle multiple projects at a time.
- Must be pro-life.
Supervisory Responsibility
This role does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This position is located at our office in Arlington, VA. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers.
Physical Demands
Must be able to perform essential duties satisfactorily with reasonable accommodations.
Work is generally done sitting, talking, hearing, and typing.
May be required to lift objects up to 20 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours
40 hours per week. Weekend and overnight work are not anticipated.
Travel
Travel may be required to represent CLI at conferences.
