Material Handler for Hoppers

We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Material Handler (Hopper) to join our manufacturing team. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient and continuous flow of materials within our facility, supporting our commitment to high-quality production and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: 

Provide and maintain the highest level of safety for the employees. Safely operate and maintain equipment used for transferring materials between different sections of the plant.

· During press shut down clean hopper, drain or change hoses as needed, assist with cleaning up around the press and other duties as required

· Clean filters on hoppers daily

· Keep hoppers filled during production

· Move finished product from the production floor once completed and released by Quality 

· Bring skids, gaylords etc. to the press for finished product

· Move nonconforming product to the appropriate hold area or to where the product is being reworked

· Clean up at the end of the shift, empty trash cans, wipe down presses and production tables, breakdown gaylords and lids that are extra

· Make sure raw material matches the production paperwork and record lot number on production paperwork

· Empty grinders as needed

· Keep tools and supplies put away in their proper place

· Assist other hoppers as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Proven experience operating industrial equipment in a manufacturing or processing environment preferred.

- Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.

- Good physical stamina and ability to lift, move, and handle materials and equipment.

- Basic troubleshooting and maintenance skills are a plus.

- Flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and perform additional tasks as required.
