Schedule: 8:30a - 5:00p; Monday - Friday; schedule varies depending on program needs
Purpose: The Family & Community Engagement Coordinator manages, develops and coordinates the family services, parent, family and community engagement and ERSEA for the Early Learning programs in accordance with city, state and federal standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the planning, development, and implementation of the agency Parent, Family and Community Engagement, Parent Involvement and Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance (ERSEA) plans developed in accordance with the Head Start performance standards and Chicago Early Learning Implementation Standards.
- Manage various components of Head Start and Early Head Start enrollment, recruitment, selection, eligibility and attendance, (ERSEA) status reports and investigate problem areas providing technical assistance
- Leads all program functions related to family support, family engagement services across all settings, including directly-operated centers and early learning partners. Develops and implements strategies to ensure continuous compliance with all funder requirements and pursue excellence in family support and engagement.
- Uses COPA and other program database tools to monitor compliance on an ongoing basis. Identifies areas of non-compliance and implement program-wide plans to resolve issues. Determines root causes of compliance risks and implements a comprehensive strategy, including training, resource development and measures for accountability.
- Manage agency community assessment process.
- Implements and reviews agency policies and procedures in assigned component areas. Proposes revisions based on program needs and identified challenges.
- Manages building of formal and informal community relationships to support resource referral, service delivery and recruitment.
- Manage and oversee implementation of agency parent curriculum.
- Monitor direct casework services to families to ensure that appropriate action is taken and make necessary recommendations.

- BSW in Social Work or Bachelor’s in related field
- 3-4 years of social service and administrative experience
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff
- Excellent computer skills ( Word, Excel, etc)
