As a proud Kubota dealer, we specialize in tractors, construction, and turf equipment, while also offering a wide range of complementary equipment for agriculture, construction, and consumer needs. We’re currently looking for a driven and experienced Heavy Equipment-Construction Outside Sales Representative to join our team at our Hubbard, OR location, focusing on clients in Marion and Clackamas counties.


What You’ll Do:

Drive Sales Growth:

Proactively identify new opportunities, generate leads, and manage the full sales process—from initial contact to closing and invoicing.

Build Lasting Relationships:

Develop strong relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring exceptional service and long-term loyalty.

Be a Product Expert:

Learn and communicate the benefits of our heavy equipment offerings, focusing on how they meet customer needs and outperform the competition.

Stay Informed:

Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitor activity to help shape sales strategies and stay ahead of the curve.

Deliver Impactful Presentations:

Conduct in-person meetings, equipment demos, and virtual presentations that showcase our products and solutions.

Negotiate and Close Deals:

Finalize sales agreements with confidence and accuracy, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely documentation.

Collaborate Across Teams:

Work closely with marketing, service, and support departments to ensure seamless customer experience.

Track Your Success:

Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity in our CRM system and report regularly to the Sales Manager.



Requirements

 

What You’ll Bring:

· 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment or construction equipment sales (preferred)

· Strong knowledge of construction machinery and industry trends

· A proactive, structured, and customer-first sales approach

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills

· Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage time effectively

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems

· Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your territory


First Three Months:

· Identify and categorize all construction equipment users in Marion and Clackamas counties.

· Create and implement a structured approach to efficiently schedule and execute customer visits.

· Complete assigned Kubota University courses to gain comprehensive knowledge of Kubota construction equipment.

· Gain proficiency with Oregon Equipment Sales' ERP system (IntelliDealer).

· Shadow experienced sales team members at the Hubbard dealership to thoroughly understand OES sales processes.

· Familiarize yourself with existing client accounts and customer relationships.

· Regularly track sales calls, leads generated, and potential customers within the CRM system.

· Develop an effective sales narrative highlighting OES products’ advantages over competitors.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a targeted marketing plan aimed at increasing construction equipment sales.

· Establish weekly check-ins with the Sales Manager to review progress and adjust strategies.

· Attend local industry events or construction association meetings to build network and market awareness.

· Develop familiarity with OES internal resources (e.g., service, parts, and support teams).

· Proactively identify and suggest new product lines or equipment options based on customer demand and market opportunities.


First Six Months:

· Conduct and present a detailed competitive market analysis on relevant construction equipment products and competitors in your region.

· Compile a comprehensive list of high-value potential customers capable of significantly increasing OES market share.

· Establish and demonstrate a positive trend in sales growth for construction equipment.

· Achieving competency in product knowledge is sufficient to educate and instruct customers on equipment operation and maintenance.

· Begin actively managing customer relationships, regularly ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

· Begin proactively soliciting and incorporating customer feedback to improve service and product offerings.

· Participate in ongoing product and sales training sessions to reinforce skills.

· Start building a pipeline of qualified leads with clear action plans for each account.


First Twelve Months:

· Attend Kubota Pro School to advance technical expertise and operational understanding of Kubota construction equipment.

· Demonstrate substantial growth in the customer base for construction equipment within Marion and Clackamas counties.

· Achieve notable and measurable improvement in regional market share.

· Consistently meet or exceed sales targets, becoming a recognized and reliable resource for construction equipment solutions within your territory.

· Provide strategic input into ongoing sales strategies, utilizing knowledge gained through customer interactions and market insights.

· Present a comprehensive sales performance review highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
