Ridge Maine is actively seeking Overnight Mental Health Support Staff to join the team!
Position Summary:
Qualified candidates are motivated individuals who want to make a positive impact in the lives of teenagers. The Overnight Residential Clinical Assistant (ORCA) is an essential member of the Ridge Maine team, with primary responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of clients throughout the overnight hours.
ORCAs works in close collaboration with our daytime Residential Clinical Assistants to provide consistent support for clients, particularly during key transition periods, including:
- building rapport with clients within appropriate professional boundaries
- providing redirection to support healthy decision making
- encouraging the development of healthier strategies and problem-solving skills
- maintain 100% supervision at all times
- providing consistent emotional and physical support to clients to ensure their safety and well-being
As the team members tasked with maintaining safety overnight, ORCAs must remain alert, highly vigilant, and responsive. The ORCAs work in coorperation to support each other throughout their shift, under the direction of the Overnight Supervisor or Lead ORCA. Key responsibilities include:
- performing routine bed checks
- performing additional checks related to suicide prevention protocols
- documenting results as required in EMR
- promptly addressing any concerns to ensure client well-being
Schedule:
Full time employees work four 10-hour overnight shifts per week, including 1 weekend shift.
Shifts are 9:00pm to 7:00am
Rate of Pay: This is an hourly position with a range of pay from $22 - $23, depending on experience, certification, and education. There is a $1.00 shift differential for hours worked on the weekends.
Organization Summary: Ridge Maine's mental health residential treatment center is dedicated to providing healing and peace to adolescents aged 12-18 who are suffering with depression and anxiety, often accompanied by dual diagnoses such as ADHD, ASD, PTSD, OCD, Personality Disorders and substance abuse.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass extensive background checks, including fingerprinting
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Experience working directly with youth preferred
- Experience with behavior and group management a plus
