Description

Conair, part of the PGNA, Inc, is a leading producer of auxiliary equipment for the plastics processing industry. We make and market over 450 different products, including resin-drying systems, blenders, feeders and material-conveying systems, temperature-control equipment and granulators. Extrusion solutions include gravimetric control systems, film and sheet scrap-reclaim systems and downstream equipment for pipe and profile extrusion. Conair is also a leader in plastics process integration, engineering and installing complete manufacturing systems that help plastics processors manage their valuable raw materials, handle their critical manufactured parts, and improve their process yield.


Role

The Size Reduction Sales Manager is responsible for size reduction sales within an assigned geographical territory to meet corporate objectives.  This position will focus on support of Conair’s size reduction equipment offering as needed in the field. This position will report to the Senior Director of Sales and is located in the field.  
 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Be the face of Conair to all size reduction customers within assigned territory;
  • Work with assigned Regional Sales Manager(s), Units Specialists & Systems Specialists to meet customer expectations;
  • Tactically plan interfacing with applications engineers and regional managers to strategize for each opportunity prior to quotation; 
  • Travel to customers (50% of time) within assigned territory to reinforce long-term customer relationships and set territory and customer specific strategies; 
  • Engage new customers while also working with existing customer base to expand market share;
  • Ensure new product introductions are communicated effectively;
  • Work with Marketing to establish customized plan for assigned territory;
  • Optimize CRM software tools to maintain and grow the Conair knowledge base of each territory customer; 
  • Establish a strong working knowledge of Conair’s equipment offerings; 
  • Other duties as assigned.  
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration (or related field) and/or five (5)+ years of direct work experience;
  • Five (5) years or more of field sales experience;
  • Proven ability to work effectively across internal and external teams;
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining  high standards of quality;
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required and salesforce.com is a plus;
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
