South Campus Maintainance
Description

SUMMARY


The ideal candidate will be skilled in basic construction, plumbing, and electrical systems and be familiar with operating a range of power tools and vehicles, including Gators, tractors, skid steers, and forklifts. Knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems is preferred. Preferred attributes include physical stamina, dexterity, reliability, patience, a strong desire to serve within a covenantal Christian community, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. To be considered, a candidate must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and must pass a background investigation.  This year-round position is Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, starting on July 1, 2025. Must be fluent in both English and Spanish. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs painting of interior and exterior building surfaces 
  • Responsible for miscellaneous building/classroom repairs
  • Mows, trims, edges, and fertilizes grassy athletic fields and common areas
  • Trims trees and shrubbery
  • Ensures the campus is free of debris and always presentable to our community and visitors
  • Demonstrates good fiscal responsibility in the management of the budget
  • Coordinates with outside vendors and contractors
  • Coordinates repairs to facilities and mechanical systems
  • Sets up and tears down needed facilities and furnishings for campus events 
  • Orders supplies needed for maintenance functions
  • Readily performs other maintenance-related duties as assigned by the Director of Operations or Head of Schools





Requirements

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will have basic construction, plumbing, and electrical systems skills, and also be familiar with operating a range of power tools and vehicles, including Gators, tractors, skid steers, and forklifts. Knowledge of landscaping and irrigation systems is preferred. Prefer individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. To be considered, a candidate must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and must pass a background investigation. 


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and AC/heating systems

SPECIFIC SKILLS DESIRED

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
