Position/Title: Maintenance Staff (Full Time)
Reports To: Facilities Manager

Position Summary
We are currently looking for an energetic individual to join our facility services maintenance staff, to promote efficient, safe, and attractive facilities. Performs a variety of tasks involved with the maintenance of buildings, equipment, and furniture at the Lyman Campus.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Provide maintenance, repair, and labor functions related to corrective and preventative maintenance of buildings and grounds.
- Perform minor installation and repair of electrical equipment and plumbing systems; perform minor carpentry and painting tasks; repair lighting systems by replacing ballasts, light bulbs and other components as required. May inspect and repair exit signs and emergency lights.
- Monitor HVAC equipment and systems; read meters and gauges
- Prepare buildings for functions and events (set up tables and equipment)
- Provide grounds keeping duties as required to meet department needs.
- May operate vehicles to pick up and deliver parts and supplies.
- Safely use hand and power tools, and operate specialized equipment
- Lift up to 100 pounds
- Read (e.g. operating instructions, labels), write (e.g. work orders), and accurately follow oral, written, and graphic instructions
- Maintain accurate records
- Work in high places and confined spaces
- Identify problems and take appropriate action
- Work varied hours and shifts to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Report to work with little notice in emergency situations
- Perform related duties as assigned.
High School diploma or GED equivalent. A valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record. Must be able to use a respirator and demonstrate the ability to work in high places or confined spaces.
Must have experience with the following abilities and skills: knowledge of appropriate safety practices; ability to diagnose problems and determine appropriate action; ability to read and comprehend a variety of written materials (e.g., work orders, product labels), write (e.g., repair orders), and accurately follow oral and written instructions; ability to apply safety practices; ability to operate computerized equipment; ability to manage time effectively and set priorities; ability to resolve problems independently and make decisions; ability to work in high places and confined spaces; skilled in interpersonal communication, basic understanding in one or a combination of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or heating/air conditioning, and basic mathematics (e.g. add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, and to calculate percentages)
