Description
Position Summary
This position assists the Circuit Breaker department in the maintenance and repair of circuit breaker systems.
Essential Duties
- Provides general entry level support to the Circuit Breaker department.
- Assist in the detection of overloading, tripping, discoloration, and damage on breaker house.
- Clean connections of corrosion, debris, faulty wiring., and other environmental factors.
- Troubleshoot switch gears and buckets.
- Troubleshoot for unstable power distribution, inconsistent operation, and improper wiring
- Assess loads and ensure correct breaker ratings and optimum equipment performance.
- Identifies and reports problems observed outside of normal use.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
- Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA.
