Senior Designer
Description

About NJI
NJI is an agency where creativity knows no borders. With hubs in Washington, D.C., London, Doha and Singapore, we traverse industries and continents to design solutions for our multifaceted clients. Whether navigating the intricacies of public affairs, charting new paths in big tech, or elevating nonprofit missions, our team of globetrotters deliver work that sparks conversations and shapes perceptions across the globe.

The Role
We’re seeking a Multidisciplinary Senior Designer who thrives on exploration—someone ready to navigate the complexities of multidisciplinary design while collaborating with a global team spanning multiple time zones.

This role is your passport to ambitious, versatile work: shape presentations seen on the stage of UNGA, design immersive experiences at expos, craft websites used to prevent pandemics, and support collateral across trade organizations and tech giants.

Note: This is a hybrid based position. This role will need to come into our Old Town office a few times a month for client presentations, collaboration, site visits, etc. We also regularly meet together on Wednesdays for lunch, and encourage you to join us.

What You’ll Do

  • Stamp your Brand Passport: Support campaign identities for expos, activations and Trade Associations by supporting creative concepts through pitch decks, moodboards, logo sketches to full brand execution.
  • Design Across Borders: Build out creative materials across diverse formats, including reports, OOH advertisements, events, presentations, HTML5 ads, social media, motion and web assets.
  • Anchor in Excellence: Ensure visual consistency and impeccable quality across deliverables by adhering to brand guidelines and refining every detail.
  • Navigate Digital Terrain: Support display ad production, including HTML5 banners, and have working knowledge of Figma.
  • Collaborate Globally: Work closely with a dynamic international team to execute concepts aligned with established client brand systems, and own projects from start to finish.
  • Prepare for Launch: Ready final files for digital and print production, ensuring technical precision and on-time delivery.
  • Mentor Manifesto: Organically mentor (with potential to manage) fellow designers and help drive a culture of endless learning.

What You’ll Bring

  • Multidisciplinary Expertise: You have proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite, and demonstrate an ability to bring high quality to the essentials.
  • Foundational Figma Skills: Must possess foundational skills in Figma to create landing pages or small-scope sites. You don’t have to be a Figma Master, but we love a Figma Fanatic!
  • Illustration: Preference for candidates with some base level illustration and drawing skills. You are comfortable creating icons and sketches for logos.
  • Presentation Skills: You can talk clients and cross-departmental teams through your designs with confidence and rationale.
  • Tenure: You should have 5+ years of experience as a designer
  • Swiss-Knife Portfolio: In case you missed it – your portfolio should demonstrate a wide set of skills.
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for consistency, catching the smallest errors before they take flight.
  • Adaptability: The ability to pivot with agility and balance efficiency with top-tier quality.
  • Bonus! entry-level Motion Skills: Entry-level editing skills, that can support lower-thirds, and small motion-graphic packages, are a competitive  plus.
