Designated as the Social Care Network (SCN) Lead Entity for the Capital Region, Central NY, and North Country under New York’s 1115 Waiver Amendment’s SCN & Health-Related Social Needs (HRSN) Program, we are responsible for ensuring that there is a seamless, consistent end-to-end process for HRSN screening, navigation, and the delivery of HRSN and other services to thousands of Medicaid Members. - Salary range: $56,850-$65,377 per year, commensurate with experience
Who You Are
The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for increasing Healthy Alliance’s brand awareness through the development, execution, and analysis of multi-layered digital marketing strategies and campaigns. This position is vital to Healthy Alliance’s storytelling, reaching target audiences across the Capital Region, Central New York, and North Country – tailoring tactics, content, and medium based on the landscape of each.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in the creation and execution of digital marketing and media campaigns across multiple platforms, monitoring effectiveness and recommending appropriate tactics based on established KPIs, regional experience, target audience, trends, etc.
- Effectively portray who Healthy Alliance is/what we’re working on visually, ensuring a positive user experience (UX) and meeting high standards that align with the latest digital communication trends/software.
- Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection across diverse target audiences (community members, partner organizations, payers, etc.) using a variety of media and informing strategies through data analysis.
- Develop and execute effective regional SEO strategies, including on-page optimization, technical SEO, keyword research, competitor analysis, and content strategy.
- Conduct regular site audits (including accessibility), track and report on key SEO metrics, and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Manage Healthy Alliance’s social media platforms to promote brand awareness and customer interaction, creating engaging content (text, images, videos) that aligns with/elevates our strategy/voice/brand identity and finding new ways to reach and retain each audience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select the appropriate medium and develop content/collateral for their projects.
- Perform market research to understand the competitive landscape, comparing Healthy Alliance’s advertising techniques/results with those of competing businesses across varying regions, taking findings and turning them into measurable actions.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Manager and Communications team to ensure full alignment with Healthy Alliance’s brand identity/messaging/storytelling, etc.

What You’ll Need
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related field. Equivalent combination of education and work experience in a related field may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Professional Work Experience
- 1-3 years of experience in digital media and/or design, marketing/advertising, communications, or related field.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite or other design and editing software
- A creative thinker with an aptitude for content creation and a developed understanding of the need to tailor messaging and mediums for different audiences
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tell stories that bring Healthy Alliance’s mission, vision, and brand voice to life in a way that resonates with our constituents
- Experience with static and dynamic ads
- Social media campaigns experience
- SEO experience and proven track record of improving website rankings and traffic
- Web development expertise; experience with WordPress and Divi Theme
- Experience with website analysis tools, such as Google Analytics
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO best practices
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
