Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is proficient in all diagnostic studies performed in the Nuclear Medicine department which requires independent judgement and initiative. Performs quality control procedures and abstraction of pertinent data from patient’s medical record.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technician.
- Valid License from an accredited Radiology program.
- BLS certified.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively and work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization.
- Excellent patient customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keenly attentive to detail.
- Ability to keep sensitive information confidential.
- High level of proficiency with PC based software programs and equipment.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Either CNMT and/ or ARRT-N licensed
Physical Requirements
- Frequent balancing, bending, crouching or stooping.
- Manual dexterity and repetitive hand/wrist movements.
- Communication and converse in normal conversations with patients, vendors and other staff.
- Move, position and transport of patients in excess of 20 lbs.
- Move, transport and position department materials in excess of 20 lbs.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position or move about.
- Vision: Ability to distinguish color, near and far acuity, depth perception and peripheral field of vision
- Operate computer and other office productive machinery such as nuclear camera, printers and copy machine.
- Frequent use of gloves and/or Personal Protective Equipment.
