Description
DUTIES:
- Responsible for fulfillment of mission and philosophy by demonstrating leadership abilities, promoting a positive culture, and participating in activities including, but not limited to, strategic planning and implementation.
- Oversee management of all Home and Community Life services including, but not limited to, management of activities related to service to Individuals and departmentresponsibilities receiving HPC, Supported Living and other related services inlcuding transportation.
- Oversees and maintains exceptional service to Individuals in accordance with ISP's.
- Visits residential and community sites to promote excellent service and visibility to individuals and staff.
- Manage crisis situations that might arise for Individuals while being served by in Home and Community Life.
- Assists in developing marketing tools describing industry functions and capabilities for use in selling services and public awareness.
- Oversees the development of community inclusion opportunities and promotion of choices for Individuals served.
- Effectively and positively communicate and cooperate with stakeholders including, but not limited to, Individuals, management, staff, community, and county board staff.
- Develops and implements new procedures; and follows established procedures for the department and RVI.
- Has knowledge of and is responsible for compliance of relevant regulations including, but not limited to, DODD, CB, Federal, OAC & ORC rules.
- Reviews financial reports as provided and is responsible for financial performance of department, meeting or exceeding budget.
- Positively promotes home and community life services and pursues opportunities to generate new business and grow the department.
- Conducts and/or ensures necessary and/or required staff training on, but not limited to, plans and activities related to serving Individuals and department responsibilities.
- Supervise assigned staff and provides back up coverage as needed. Assistance is available from the Human Resources Manager for the following duties: interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating work performance, and issuing discipline as necessary.
- Schedule and hold regular meetings with direct reports and staff to ensure ongoing communication.
- Establishes and effectively manages staffing schedules to meet individuals served needs and to best utilize staff.
- Order necessary materials and supplies as needed.
- Works with staff in identifying, analyzing, establishing or adjusting methods/procedures to improve services, meet production schedules and quality standards; follows established RVI procedures.
- Oversees and ensures accuracy in completion of electronic and hard copy documentation including, but not limited to, service provision data, employee timekeeping, billing, and other required documentation.
- Maintains necessary and appropriate records in an organized fashion, both electronically and hard copy form.
- Attends necessary and appropriate meetings, conferences, and approved training opportunities.
- Understands and adheres to policies and standards adopted by the Riverview Industries, Inc. Board of Directors.
- Oversees and supervises service coordination, CPT, documentation, and all necessary aspect of service delivery for individuals served within department.
- Promote an atmosphere of professionalism at all times for self and staff, insuring a positive image for the Home and Community Life Department both internally and externally.
- Performs other tasks as deemed necessary by Executive Director.
Requirements
S KILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or higher preferred in business, sales, marketing or related area of study; or comparable experience preferable in IDD field.
- Knowledge of community and potential customers
- Valid driver's license.
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to read and understand basic financial statements
- Thorough knowledge of department processes and methods.
- Willingness to work with others and cooperate with coworkers in team environment
- Proactive, creative and strategic; ability to see the big picture
- Knowledge in a variety of computer software programs.
